Hidden between thorns and tangled branches, a flash of copper and emerald gave him away- a male pheasant, pausing just long enough for me to capture his quiet majesty. These birds may look extravagant, but they're shy by nature, often darting for cover at the slightest sound. Did you know male pheasants can have up to 230 feathers in 10 different colors? This photo reminds me: beauty doesn't always shout. Sometimes, it rustles softly in the bushes.
