Our Impact

Bears in Mind is the Dutch bear foundation dedicated to helping bears in need and protecting wild bear populations worldwide. For over 30 years, they have rescued mistreated bears and supported over 200 projects in 35 countries. One of their most important projects is Het Berenbos in the Netherlands, where by 2025 a total of 36 brown bears, once abused or kept in captivity can live freely in a natural forest environment.

Their mission is clear: to create a world where humans and bears can coexist in harmony. They work globally with governments, local organizations, and universities on conservation, welfare, education, and awareness. Protecting the habitat of bears also safeguards countless other species that share the same ecosystems.
